The City of Vaughan has temporarily taken down its official Twitter account after a profane message appeared in its feed Friday morning.

“Everyone on my street has double garages. Who are these [expletive] who don’t put their car in the garage when we get 2 feet of snow? #dumb,” read the tweet, which was posted in the middle of a snowstorm at 7:23 a.m Friday.

The city said it’s investigating the source of the tweet and the possibility someone hacked its account.

“The City of Vaughan apologizes for the inappropriate tweet that came earlier today from its corporate Twitter account,” the city said in a release.

Not surprisingly, the tweet quickly garnered reaction on social media before — and after — it was removed.
